The Covert Rationing Blog: Medical Grand Rounds, Vol 4, No. 41

Thank you Dr Rich of The Covert Rationing Blog for including my post PTSD: Diagnosis du Jour in this week’s Medical Grand Rounds: his personal pick of the best medical writing from the USA and around the world. The USA will be celebrating 232 years of independence so the theme was to do with that.

“Dr Rich (Richard N. Fogoros, MD) is a former professor of medicine who spent over 20 years as a full-time clinical cardiologist, medical researcher, teacher and author, as well as an occasional health care entrepreneur, amateur medical ethicist and, when absolutely unavoidable, patient.”

He gave all that up, wrote a book Fixing American Healthcare and maintained this website: Grand Unification Theory of Healthcare.

You may think that it has nothing to do with the NHS.

What NHS? Have you not read Dr Crippen's entry which was included in the Grand Rounds. Read the other entries as well. A glimpse into our future perhaps.

Do not worry about Dr Rich:

“Dr Rich is being paid good money every day by corporate America to tell them stuff that’s available on his websites for free. (Dr Rich finds it common for captains of industry to pay consultants big bucks for information that is otherwise readily available to them, most often simply by asking any of their mid-level managers.)”
